Open Casting Call

We’re looking for a young feminine Australian voice, around 18-24, to voice our protagonist, Pin. This is a paid role.

Recording will take place in December in the Byron Shire, NSW. If you are outside of the Northern Rivers but have access to quality recording equipment, we are happy to consider remote recording.

Character ‘Pin’

Description: Despite her miniature size, Pin is a confident and curious moth who wanders with an earthly grace. She is led by an urge of intuition, armed only with a bent needle and her tender-hearted wisdom as she embarks on her first expedition beyond home.

Voice qualities:

  • Feminine

  • Australian accent

  • Youthful

  • Clear pronunciation

The actor cast will need to perform 3-4 lines of dialogue and 4-5 vocalisations for gameplay (breathing, humming, gasps, grunts). This project is in the prototype stage and will have minimal lines of dialogue, but this will increase in later developments.

To audition:

Please record the three lines and vocalisations below. Context has been provided for each.

Line 1:

“There, past the dune. That must be it.”

Pin has journeyed far from her home, and emerges in a dreamlike forest bordering the beach. She spots a large dome shape in the distance. The home of who she seeks.

Line 2:

“I think I saw a staircase... over by the mushrooms.”

Pin gets turned around while exploring and attempts to be reoriented . Speaking softly to herself.

Line 3:

“I need your help.”

Pin has approached an ancient creature for assistance in her journey. Despite their size difference and the creature’s carnivorous gaze, Pin's face suggests admiration instead of fear - she softly smiles at the larger being.

Vocalisations:

Provide the following as per your interpretation of the character

Surprised gasp | Friendly “Hi there” | Soft humming (5-10 second melody)

To submit:

  • All lines should be in the same mp3/mp4 file, titled ‘TrinketAudition_*Your name*’

  • Feel free to submit multiple takes of each line (no more than 2)

  • Include your name, where your based, and any prior experience you may have had (You do not need experience to apply)
